Power Steering



    The old girl came with manual steering. When I back her into the garage to start to disasmable her, it felt like it took a gaint to turn the wheel. I bought a 95 power steering unit off of a a dodge truck on e-bay.



    It goes to show corporate thinking when you realize that Chrysler was ahead in the engineering of there cars than the other company. The trucks did not have power steering until the 72 model year. Before the 72 model year all you could get was a assist unit like GM used on there cars until the 60's. This from the company that brought the world independent suspension, the hemi, alternator, electronic ignition, the first reliable auto trans, push button trans, and the turbine car.
